Production Deposit — Terms
Effective May 15, 2026.
What is a production deposit?
For high-value made-to-order statues (cart total $400 or more, or any single item $200 or more), we offer the option to pay in two installments:
- Half upfront as a production deposit when you place the order.
- Half at completion when we notify you that your statue is built and ready to ship.
14-day cooling-off period
For the first 14 calendar days after your deposit is captured, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund of your deposit. To cancel, contact our support team at support@kaistatue.com before the 14th day elapses.
After 14 days, production will have started and the deposit becomes non-refundable as described below.
Why the deposit is non-refundable after 14 days
Our statues are made to order. Starting on day 15 after your deposit, we begin sourcing materials, allocating production capacity, and committing labor specifically to your order. The deposit represents compensation for production costs we have already begun to incur on your behalf.
If, after day 14, you decide not to pay the remaining balance when notified that your statue is ready, your order will be cancelled and the deposit retained as compensation for those production costs. No further payment will be charged, and no refund will be issued.
When the balance is due
We will notify you by email and via your account page when your statue is completed and ready to ship. At that point you may pay the remaining balance using any of our supported payment methods (credit card, PayPal, or cryptocurrency) — you are not required to use the same method you used for the deposit.
We will send reminder emails 7, 14, and 30 days after we mark your statue ready. After 90 days without a balance payment, your order may be cancelled and the deposit retained.
Defects and quality issues
These terms apply to customer-initiated cancellations. They do not affect your rights in the event we cannot fulfill your order, or if the statue arrives damaged or materially differs from what was advertised. In those cases our standard refund policy applies and you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
